Our Brightest Stars
By: Fadlina Lutfi
I still remember
The beauty of the stars
When I first gazed at them
in the darkest night
There is something about them
that tells me
Night is not always dark
Cause sometimes it does glow
With the rays gleaming from the stars
With the light shining from the moon
When we fall and feel hopeless
Let's raise our heads
and watch the night sky
Full of darkness
and it might seem to have nothing
But if we could really stare for a while
and figure out what's hidden
There are stars behind the clouds
Waiting to shine
as the clouds pass by
They are always there
The light to our darkness
The peace to our mind
The meanings to our life
Just because we can't see them
doesn't mean we have lost them
They are all there
waiting for us to fight and redeem them
Just like the darkest night
That is full of the dark clouds
Our life that we thought
will never bloom and be lighted up
is actually waiting to shine and be bright
Blow the dark clouds
Chase away the storms
And we'll find our stars
Beautiful, bright, breathtaking
That's how our life is going to be
Once the dark clouds are gone
We'll shine bright like the full moon.
